Robert Urban is the Chief Instructor and Founder of The Urban Survival Academy. His love of the land began as a child- spending countless hours in the woods and creek-shooting bb guns, playing hide and seek with his brother and friends and exploring and tracking animals in the woods.
After finishing high school Robert served honorably in the Marine Corps in various infantry billets and over course of the next 8 years, he became highly decorated for actions in Kosovo and Afghanistan as well as graduating honor graduate at some of the toughest schools the Marine Corps had to offer.
He is a SERE trained, cold weather, jungle warfare, hand to hand combat, explosives, scuba divemaster, stealth and dynamic entry expert who has spent the time since he got out of the Marine Corps operating as a Govt survival consultant and giving classes and talks about courage, remaining calm and adapting throughout the nation. He also runs a marketing agency, Paperboat Media, LLC ,is a best selling author and spends his free time with his son, mostly fishing or camping in the woods.
